All the African print fabrics are designed and dyed by the women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo through a non-profit program Lauren Pierce has partnered with there. This program is devoted to helping women in conflict and post-conflict environments. It offers market-based skills training to assist women in securing employment and starting their own businesses. Economic self-sufficiency is a critical step for women as they move from victim to survivor to active citizen, influencing the lives of their families and communities while contributing to peace-building and prosperity in their nations.

Lauren Pierce also incorporates environmentally-friendly fabrics into its designs, such as hemp silks, organic wools, and more. We believe it is important to be mindful of our footprint on the earth, as well as our fellow humans.

With its commitment to bettering/honoring our interconnected world, Lauren Pierce has become a trusted brand that lives up to high environmental and humanitarian standards.
